For as long as I can remember I have always been attracted to tall men who have dark hair and have medium to light blue eyes. I could never explain why but now I can. The other night I went to a friend's house to keep her company while her husband was at a meeting and we decided to watch a movie. We couldn't decide between "The Little Mermaid" and "UP"so we decided to let her dog choose and she chose "The Little Mermaid." I was excited because I hadn't seen this movie in over 15 years at least.
So we pop in the movie and the memories start flooding in! I remember how I always thought the seahorse that announced everyone was so cute and I loved how Flounder was such a scaredy cat but always went with Ariel on her little adventures, even if it meant he could be eaten by a huge shark. I loved all of the colors that were used in this movie. This movie makes me want to go deep sea diving. One of my favorite scenes is when Ariel and Prince Eric are in a boat in the lagoon and they end up under a willow tree and the animals are singing "Kiss The Girl".
I love the song, the scenery, the animals, etc. I loved Ariel! I thought she was beautiful and always wanted her beautiful bright red hair. I am a redhead, it has kind of turned into brown now, but I always wanted her hair! How it looked and how it moves in the water...I was jealous and still am. All of those things I LOVED about the movie when I was a kid I still love today!
The movie progressed and it was time for Prince Eric to make his appearance. I had kind of forgotten what he looks like so I wasn't really paying attention until I looked up and saw his beautiful blue eyes! After staring at his dark hair, blue eyes and great white smile it dawned on me...he is the reason why I am attracted to men with dark hair and light blue eyes! The mystery has been solved! I mean I was 6 years old when this movie came out and I have never really known too many men with these characteristics so that has to be it. Isn't that funny how something so innocent can have such and affect on me? Now that may not be the main reason to why I have this attraction but it seems to fit.
