So, it's been a while since I have blogged. A lot has happened in the past month so maybe I should bring you up to date. June was wedding month! My best friend Petie got married at the end of June and man was it a celebration!!! I'm sad it's over. :-( The week before the wedding the bridesmaids in town got together and helped get ready for the wedding. It was exciting because I have watched Petie prepare for this wedding for so long so it was exciting to know it was finally here! Amid all of the wedding happiness was a little bit of sadness. My other best friend Jeri was leaving to teach school in South Carolina 2 days after the wedding. :'-( Needless to say, it was an emotional time. I am happy for my friend that she is getting to go on an adventure but I will miss her dearly. So, the Wednesday before the wedding we had a going away party for her.

We're quite the bunch...aren't we? ;-) We will miss you very much Jeri and I hope you knwo that you are very loved here back home.
Anywho, Thursday was yet another fun day of wedding festivities. It was Petie's bachelorette party!!! Woo Hoo! There was some where between 45-60 women in attendance at this party, which makes this the largest bachelorette party I have ever been to. It was a ton of fun with great food, great atmosphere, fun games, picture taking, friends and of course gifts!
The house it was held at can only, in my opinion, be described as a Tuscan Villa. It was a perfect night for an outdoor party! As you can see, the centerpieces for the tables were gorgeous. I absolutely love Hydrangeas!
Friday was a fun day! It started off early with a limo ride to the nail salon, then the Bridal luncheon, relaxation by the pool and then the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. It was a long day but time flies when you are having fun. :-)
∞ We had 13 girls stuffed into this limo. Good thing it was a short ride ∞
Then the wedding day came. It is all a blur. It went sooooo fast! It was a very warm June day it seemed that everywhere we went we were sweating. It was just plain HOT! At least it wasn't raining. We took some pictures off site downtown and the first place we went didn't have air conditioning. We girls were sweating and I felt bad for the boys in their tuxes when we were in short sleeveless dresses. We had 5 men who were willing to cart us around downtown in their nice air conditioned vehicles and they kept them cool for us. They were awesome! The location was great! It was an old hotel downtown that is no longer occupied and I just know the photos are gonna be great! After our photo shoot we went back to the church to relax before the ceremony.
I started to get nervous the closer we got to the start of the ceremony. I knew there would be a love of people in attendance for this wedding and if you know me I don't do well in front of big crowds of people. I did it though without falling or crying. It was hard not to cry. My bottom lip quivered as I fought back tears of joy for my dear friend. In fact, I think every single one of the bridesmaids did, at least that's what they told me afterward. Even Petie fought back tears, which is not unusual for the bride but still. I don't think there was a dry eye or lump free throat in the building.
After the ceremony and some last minute photos we headed to the reception. We partied all night long, or at least until 11 pm. ;-) We ate some great food, watched some hilarious videos, listened to speeches and then we DANCED! About three songs into it I was dripping with sweat. Oh! TMI, sorry. I figured I had been sweating all day so it didn't really matter now. ;-) None of us wanted the night to end but we are soooo ecstatically happy for our dear friends. We love you both!
∞And They Lived Happily Ever After ∞
