So, my favorite movie right now is (500) Days of Summer. I absolutely LOVE Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel! They are the perfect people for this movie. I don't think I would recommend this movie if you are going through a break up or are not over a past love/crush but for those of us who aren't or those of us who are and just don't care it is a must see.
Zooey Deschanel is freakin' hilarious, or at least I think so. She may not have particularly funny lines or anything but it's just her character's sense of humor that makes it amusing. Joseph Gordon-Levitt did a great job in this movie. He is great at playing the miserable, love-struck guy. He is very cute at it too! ;-)
One other thins that makes me love this movie is the soundtrack. Every time I hear "Sweet Disposition" by The Temper Trap I can see the movie running through my mind. One band that bonds the characters in the movie is The Smiths. The funny thing is that I have heard The Smiths before, quite a long time ago too, and I love them. There is one song that I totally love and that is "Bookends" by Simon and Garfunkle. Ohhhh, for some reason whenever I hear that song it calms me. Simon and Grafunkle are good at that though.
So, if you are looking for a movie to rent, go with (500) Days of Summer. It didn't get much press until after it came out in theaters nut I still liked it. You may not have the same taste in movies as me and that's ok but you can still try it, it won't kill you. ;-)
