Baby It's FREEZING Outside!!!

Ok, so I have lived in Kansas my whole life and I cannot recall a time where it has been this cold. It gets pretty cold here but maybe not as cold as up north, at least not temperature wise. However, we do have winds here and that makes days like today unbearable! It's ok if you are just walking from your car to the door but if you have to spend 10 minutes or more outside you better look like Ralphie's little brother in "The Christmas Story."

So, tonight I went to dinner with 2 of my co-workers and by the time I got back to my car it was close to 9 pm. So, I got into my cold little car annnnnnnnnnd nothing. My battery had died and there I was, stuck in a dark parking lot in 8º weather with windchills of -13º. I guess that's what you get when frigid arctic air combines with north winds. Lucky for me my co-worker stayed behind and let me sit in her warm car until my roommate could come jump my car. Well, we finally got my car started and we hightailed it home to warm up. After about and hour or more we could finally feel our toes and fingers again.

After the past fews weeks of winter I am soooooo ready for summer! I spent Christmas at my folks place in Nebraska and they had 13" of snow and we were stuck at home for almost 3 days. Then to have these frigid temperatures here this past week it makes me want to move somewhere warm! Hey, if God makes it possible for me to move somewhere warmer I don't think I would fight him on it. ;-) I like cold weather but this is just ludicrous!
