So, if you know me you know that I cheer for both KU and KSU. Most everyone here in the Sunflower state finds this to be a travesty and others could care less. I am mercilessly tortured for this by some of my good friends. However, I do have an explanation as to why I am the way I am. I grew up this way. Growing up, it was made apparent that KSU is best in football and KU, hands down, is best in basketball. I have never wavered from this.
If there is a football game between KU and KSU, I always cheer for KSU. If there is a basketball game between KU and KSU, I will always cheer for KU. Why is that so hard to believe?! I understand where everyone is coming from when they give me crap for why I am the way I am but seriously people, it's not life or death here, it's JUST sports. I am not a big football fan so I could really care less who actually wins but when these 2 schools play each other I always want the Wildcats to kick the Jayhawks butts! Basketball is really one of my favorite sports to watch and I will always be there to watch KU kick KSU's butts or to watch them put Texas in there place. (I HATE the University of Texas, if you didn't know that about me already.)
Now some people think that I only like these 2 teams in the sports they are good at because of that fact. I am NOT a fair weather fan. I have just lived my entire life this way and I am not about to change now. No matter how good KU gets in football, I will always cheer for KSU and no matter how good KSU gets in basketball, I will always cheer for KU. I hope this makes sense and I hope that you all see what I see. I am not stupid, I know there are some of you that won't see it from my point of view and that's fine, but I'm not changing my mind! So there! ;-)
